Recognizing the teachers

The script below was used at the reunion to recognize the teachers:

We spent ten crucial years of our life at this glorious institution. It was here that our character was moulded and we imbibed values, good manners and acquired vital life skills. We could never thank our teachers enough for all that they have done for each and every one of us. Our childhood thank you’s may have faded over the course of years and it is appropriate that we express our profound gratitude to every one of you. You have all been exemplary role models and what we are today we owed to you.

Mrs Rosamma Babu made learning history truly enjoyable. It was more an experience pf sitting at the feet of a glorious story teller. Utilising innovative and creative methods, Mrs Babu’s classes were never ever tedious. She saw to it that we learnt our history right in front of her eyes. Her classes started thus history is his story, man’s story and that dramatic first line had us enraptured.

Ms Delphine’s ever smiling; kind face took away the intimidation of learning the different laws of physics. She took time to explain difficult concepts over and over again. Her patience, dedication and love towards us students made a profound impact on our lives. As she was just a few years older to us, we vibed well with her.

Ms Cabbot: An excellent teacher that’s how we students rate u. Ms cabbot made learning biology a live experience. She would point out molars premolars canines and incisors right in front of our eyes. Her explicit explanation made us visualise the rarest specimen. She saw to it that we knew our human anatomy quite well.

Ms Rita simple, strict yet loving. Her frail form never detracted from her being an effective teacher. Her meticulous ways and stern demeanour can easily be recalled. She was the epitome of a just, sincere and dedicated teacher.

Sr Effie shy sr Effie would blush at the embarrassing questions we naughty teenagers would pose in all innocence. None of us students ever doubted for a moment that she truly loved each and every one of us. She was one to spot latent talents in us and she would see that we developed it to near perfection.

Ms Francina taught us in STDs 1 & 2. She was responsible to initiate the learning process in us students the doors to discovery were thrown up. She found gentle ways in dealing with us during those tender years.

Ms Francisca with her soft voice and dainty walk was a soothing influence on us. Looking back she had a certain charm and poise which we became aware only in the latter years of our school life. She looks as charming as she was 25 years ago

Ms Stella was our first Malayalam teacher she sure had a tough time teaching us pronunciation, spellings and grammar. Strict and alert she took great pains in teaching us. We still remember the pages and pages of Malayalam we had to keep writing she never spared any effort in discharging her duties as a teacher.

Ms Sabina
evoked in us patriotism and a love for our national language. Her classes are remembered with great joy because of her sense of humour and the ease we experienced in the classroom.
